How much does a consultation cost?
It depends on the service and on whether it is in the office, virtual or at your home. Message me on WhatsApp telling me what you need and I will confirm the price right away, along with the slots available.
How long is it, and what do I leave with?
Between 60 and 90 minutes depending on the service. You leave with a written plan and WhatsApp follow-up over the following days, which is the part most people value the most.
Do you do home visits?
Yes, for newborn assessments, latch evaluations and support for families of premature babies. I cover Heredia and the Greater Metropolitan Area; anywhere further out is arranged separately.
Does a virtual consultation work just as well?
For support, technique, pumping, going back to work and questions, it works very well. What it cannot do is examine the baby, weigh them or look inside their mouth. If I see something during the session that needs an in-person assessment, I will tell you and we will arrange it.
Will my insurance reimburse it?
I work on reimbursement with nine insurers. You pay, I give you the stamped invoice and the form, and you file the claim. The reimbursement depends on your policy, not on Lactamar.
Are you a doctor?
No. I am a licensed nurse and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I do not diagnose or prescribe, and I do not replace your pediatrician. When something falls outside my field, I say so and refer you.
How long do shop orders take?

How do I pay?
Por SINPE Móvil al 8896 0547 o por transferencia, después de que te confirme disponibilidad y el costo del envío. El cobro con tarjeta desde el sitio entra más adelante.
Are the LactaNanny caregivers nurses?
No todas, y por eso el nivel se declara siempre antes de que aceptes. Hay cuatro: cuidadora verificada, niñera especializada, estudiante avanzada de enfermería y enfermera incorporada. Todas pasan por verificación de atestados, hoja de delincuencia y referencias que yo misma llamo.
What if a product arrives damaged?
Mandame una foto por WhatsApp dentro de las 48 horas y lo repongo o te devuelvo el dinero, con el envío por mi cuenta. Producto cerrado y sin abrir se puede devolver dentro de 15 días.
Do you handle emergencies?
No. Ante dificultad respiratoria, coloración azulada, pérdida de conciencia, convulsión, sangrado importante o reacción alérgica grave, llamá al 9-1-1. Ante fiebre en un bebé menor de 3 meses, letargo o señales de deshidratación, andá ese mismo día a un servicio de urgencias.
Can I cancel or move an appointment?
Sí, sin costo hasta 24 horas antes. Después de ese plazo se reagenda una sola vez sin costo. Me escribís y listo.
